Harnessing Research, Innovation, and Partnerships for One Health Solutions to Emerging Health and Environmental Challenges in Africa
The Centre for Advanced Medical Research and Training (CAMRET) and the One Health Institute (OHI), Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), invite researchers, academics, veterinarians, public health professionals, policymakers, and industry practitioners to submit abstracts and papers for the CAMRET–OHI Joint International Conference 2026. The conference will be held 24th–25th September, 2026 at CAMRET / One Health Institute, UDUS, in hybrid format (physical and virtual participation).
Conference Objectives
- To bring together multidisciplinary experts to advance the One Health agenda across human, animal, and environmental health sectors.
- To promote evidence-based research and data-driven policymaking for disease prevention and control in Africa.
- To provide a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration among academia, government, and the private sector.
- To showcase innovative research in epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, zoonotic diseases, and ecosystem health.
- To generate actionable recommendations for strengthening One Health systems in Nigeria and across Africa.
- To foster South-South and North-South research partnerships for capacity building and scientific innovation.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts should be 250–300 words
- Full papers should not exceed 12 pages
- Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
- All papers will undergo double-blind peer review
- Abstracts must include: title, authors, affiliation, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Abstract Book
- Selected full papers will be considered for publication in a peer-reviewed journal
- Submissions should be made via the official conference portal
- Language of submission and presentation: English
